  Alcohol may be sold or supplied:

   

  ()        On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Year’s Eve from 10 a.m. to midnight.

  ()        On Sundays, other than Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve and on Good Friday: 12 noon to 11.30 p.m.

  ()        On Christmas Day: 12 noon to 11.30 p.m.

  ()        On New Year’s Eve, except on a Sunday, 10 a.m. to midnight.

  ()        On New Year’s Eve on a Sunday, 12 noon to 11.30 p.m.

  ()        On New Years Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day.

   

  The above restrictions do not prohibit:

   

  (a)               during the first twenty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises;

  (b)               during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;

  (c)               during the first thirty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied for consumption as ancillary to the meals; or

  (d)               consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the licensed premises.

   

  Intoxicating liquor shall not be sold or supplied on the premises otherwise than to persons taking table meals there and for consumption by such a person as an ancillary to his meal.

   

  Suitable non-alcoholic beverages, including drinking water, shall be equally available for consumption with or otherwise as an ancillary to meals served in the licensed premises.

   

  The premises must structurally and bona fide used for the purpose of habitually providing the customary main meal at midday or in the evening, or both, for the accommodation of persons frequenting the premises.

   

  Recorded Music

   

  Provision may be made for the public entertainment in the premises by the reproduction of wireless (including television) broadcasts (or of programmes included in any programme service [within the meaning of the Broadcasting Act 1990] other than a sound or television broadcasting service), or of public entertainment by way of music and singing only which is provided solely by the reproduction of recorded sound.

   

   

• CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  1.              Personal license holder or duty manager on duty at all times the license is in operation.

   

  2.              Staff are trained on matters relating to licensing issues.

   

  3.              Incident book kept to record any occurrences relating to the operation of the license.

   

  4.              Drugs policy in force, as the business is based mainly on middle aged and mature customers no notice is displayed.

   

  5.              Adequate lighting is provided both internally and externally.

   

  6.              No alcoholic drinks are served in bottles, all drinks are poured in the appropriate glasses.

   

  7.              Links with local Pub Watch scheme.

   

  8.              Provision of emergency lighting throughout the premises.

   

  9.              Provision of smoke detectors throughout the premises.

   

  10.              Escape route (exits) from both the front and rear of building, fire escape from upper floors.

   

  11.              First aid provision in the kitchen (adjacent to licensed areas).

   

  12.              Background music level controlled from behind the bar.

   

  13.              Management will ensure the noise level is appropriate with the type of business.

   

  14.              A notice will be placed near the door asking customers to leave quietly.

   

  15.              Management will order taxis upon request from customers.

   

  16.              Proof of age cards are required for anyone purchasing alcohol that is of a suspect age.

   

  17.              Children only permitted on the premises until 21.30.

   

   

   

• Licensing Act 2003 Mandatory Conditions

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

   

  1.              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence; or

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2.              The supply of alcohol under the premise licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

   

  Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.
