CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. Outside of performances, a Duty Manager undertakes tours of the premises to ensure that public areas are safe and maintained, attending to problems that arise.
2. Before the performance House Manager tours the premises, ensuring that all escape routes are clear.
3. During the performance the House Manager attends to any problems that arise, and manages emergency evacuations.
4. All members of staff are instructed regarding the action to be taken by them in the event of a fire or emergency.
5. During performances, ushers are located inside and outside of the auditorium and are trained to address any problems that arise.
6. Bars and catering staff are instructed and trained not to serve intoxicated people.
7. Static panic buttons are provided in key areas to enable staff to alert the police in case of serious problems.
8. Details of nominated key holders are forwarded to the police and the intruder alarm monitoring contractor.
9. Adequate public liability insurance is provided.
10. Lavatories, sanitary appliances and urinals are kept properly and efficiently cleansed, disinfected and supplied with proper toiletries.
11. Fire exits are clearly marked and routes kept clear.
12. All floors, floor coverings and upholstery in the premises are maintained in a clean condition.
13. The edges of the treads of steps and stairways are conspicuous.
14. All gangways, exit ways and the treads of steps and stairways are maintained with a non-slip surface.
15. Emergency lighting independent of the mains supply is provided and maintained.
16. An electronic fire alarm is provided and maintained in efficient working order.
17. The design of the Main House and Studio auditoria, and the materials used, incorporate measures to minimize sound heard outside the auditoria.
18. The Front of House Manager supervises the audience members as they depart the premises following a performance.
19. Key printed publicity advises patrons regarding the availability of car parks, and how to get to the Theatre, in an effort to discourage street parking and resulting congestion.
20. Patrons are advised of age restrictions associated with films, if applicable.
21. Bar staff are instructed and trained to ask for proof of identity if they believe a patron to be under 18 years of age.
22. Box Office staff are instructed and trained to inform customers regarding any sensitive or explicit content featured in a production.
23. Staff supervising child performers undertake the relevant qualifications/checks.
24. The Theatre has a child protection policy in place which includes policies on obtaining and reviewing relevant checks.
