  Private Entertainment

   

  The provision of regulated entertainment, that is, the provision of dancing, music or any other entertainment of the like kind, is prohibited (unless it is a licensable activity included in this licence) with the exception of pre-booked private events limited to pre-invited guests only.

   

  Recorded Music

   

  Provision may be made for the public entertainment in the premises by the reproduction of wireless (including television) broadcasts (or of programmes included in any programme service [within the meaning of the Broadcasting Act 1990] other than a sound or television broadcasting service), or of public entertainment by way of music and singing only which is provided solely by the reproduction of recorded sound.

   

  Licensing Act 2003 Mandatory Conditions

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

   

  Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

  Mandatory Conditions for club premises with off sales

   

  (a)              The supply of alcohol for consumption off the club premises must be made at a time when the premises are open for the purposes of supplying alcohol, in accordance with the club premises certificate, to members of the club for consumption on the premises.

  (b)              Any alcohol supplied for consumption off the premises must be in a sealed container; and

  (c)              That any supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises must be made to a member of the club in person.

   

• CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY LICENSING COMMITTEE

   

  PPN

   

  Levels of amplified music, when measured within the premises shall not exceed an Lmax of 95dBC.

   

  PPN4

  All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency.

   

  PPN6

  The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents.  A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.

   

  PPN9

  There shall be placed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public (or member and their guests) notices pointing out the needs of local residents and the need to leave the premises and the area quietly. (Note:  this may also include reference to vehicles.)

   

  PPN14

  The placing of bottles into receptacles outside the premises is not permitted to take place after/between the hours of 2000 and 0800 to minimise disturbance to nearby properties.

   

  PS1 - Gas Testing

  Any gas boiler, calorifier or other gas appliances will be tested at least every 12 months by CORGI authorised workmen and subsequent satisfactory and valid inspection report to be available on site for inspection by an authorised officer of the authority.

   

  PS2 - Electrical Installation Testing

  The electrical installation shall be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent person.  A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an officer of the authority.

   

  PS5 - Licensee Safety Inspection

  Before the premises are opened for the purposes authorised by the licence an inspection shall be carried out by the licence holder to ensure that the premises are safe for use.

   

  PS6 - First Aid

  There shall be maintained on the premises at all times an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials for the use of customers.

   

  PS4 - RCD

  Each socket outlet circuit or individual socket outlets used for regulated entertainment shall be protected by an integral residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA (0.03 amps).  Every such circuit and residual current device shall  be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent  person.  A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an authorised officer of the authority.

   

• CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  1.              The Club Management Committee and bar staff are all responsible members of society and are aware of their responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003.

   

  2.              The Club Rules specify the conduct expected by all members and guests introduced to the Club.

   

  3.              The bar staff are all instructed not to serve anyone behaving in a drunk and disorderly fashion.

   

  4.              The Club Management Committee ensure that behaviour and discipline are maintained in the Club and anyone who does contravene the accepted standard of behaviour can be removed from the membership.

   

  5.              The Club complies with Health and Safety requirements.

   

  6.              The Club has all the necessary fire equipment installed and all the emergency exits are clearly signposted.

   

  7.              Club members and guests are all instructed to behave in a quiet, respectable manner when they leave the premises on an evening.

   

  8.              All recorded and live music is monitored by the Management Committee to ensure that noise levels are reasonable and efforts are made to ensure that external windows and doors are closed to prevent noise pollution.

   

  9.              Bar Staff are instructed to be vigilant in ensuring that no children enter the premises without adult supervision.

   

  10.              Proof of age is requested before alcohol can be served to anyone who may be underage.

   

  11.              Membership is restricted to 18 years of age, and any membership applications require identification before acceptance by the management committee.
