• LICENSING ACT 2003 MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

   

  1.               No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence; or

   

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2.     The supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

   

  Mandatory Condition where the licence authorises the exhibition of films

   

  Where a club premises certificate authorises the exhibition of films, the certificate must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this condition.

   

  Where the film classification body is specified in the certificate, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body.

   

                Where -

   

  (i)                   the film classification body is not specified in the licence; or

   

  (ii)                            the relevant licensing authority has notified the premises which holds the certificate that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

   

  In this section -

   

                              “children” means persons aged under 18; and

   

  “film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).

   

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

   

  Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

   

   

• CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  1.              Personal Licence Holder or Designated Premises Supervisor at the location at all times the licence is in operation.

   

  2.              All staff have had informal training on licensing matters.

   

  3.              Only Registered Door Supervisors will be used for security.

   

  4.              An incident book is kept at the location to record any incidents that may affect the running of the premises.

   

  6.              A drug policy is in force but no notices are displayed.

   

  7.              Lighting is installed both internally in the tented area and externally.

   

  8.              Walkie-Talkie radios will be issued to key staff and organisers.

   

  9.              Designated premises supervisor is a member of the local pub watch scheme.

   

  10.              Both entries and exits will be clearly marked and supervised.

   

  11.              First aid provision will be provided by St. Johns Ambulance.

   

  12.              A separate car parking area will be provided.

   

  13.              Admission will be by ticket only; ticket numbers will be restricted to an agreed number.

   

  14.              Plastic glassware will be used for all liquid sales.

   

  15.              Live and recorded music levels will be controlled by organisers.

   

  16.              Rubbish bins will be placed at regular intervals on site.

   

  17.              Rubbish clearance of the entire site will be organised immediately after the event.

   

  18.              Exits will be controlled and notices posted asking people to leave quietly.

   

  19.              Proof of age cards will be required from anyone attempting to purchase alcohol who appears to be under age.

   

  20.              All children’s play area will be provided.

   

  21.              All children must be accompanied by an adult.
