• LICENSING ACT 2003 MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  Mandatory conditions where licence authorises the supply of alcohol

   

  1.              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence -

   

  (a)              at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence; or

   

  (b)              at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2.              The supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

   

  Mandatory Condition where the licence authorises the exhibition of films

   

  (a)              Where a club premises certificate authorises the exhibition of films, the certificate must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this condition.

   

  (b)              Where the film classification body is specified in the certificate, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body.

   

  (c)              Where -

   

  (i)              the film classification body is not specified in the licence; or

   

  (ii)              the relevant licensing authority has notified the premises which holds the certificate that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

   

  (d)              In this section -

   

                              “children” means persons aged under 18; and

   

  “film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

   

  Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

   

• CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  1.              Personal licence holder or designated premises supervisor on the premises at all times the licence is in operation.

   

  2.              All staff have informal training on licensing matters.

   

  3.              Security Industry Authority registered door supervisors on site.

   

  4.              An incident book is kept on site to record any incidents that may affect the running of the premises.

   

  5.              A drug policy is in force but no notices are displayed.

   

  6.              External lighting will be provided in all areas where food or alcohol is served.

   

  7.              Walkie talkies will be used for on site communication.

   

  8.              No glass containers will be used for alcoholic drinks.

   

  9.              Lighting will be provided by generators located on site.

   

  10.              Several escape routes will be available from the site.

   

  11.              First aid provision will be provided by St. Johns Ambulance Brigade.

   

  12.              Any special effects will be supervised and restricted to the stage area.

   

  13.              Music and speakers will be projected away from residential areas of the town.

   

  14.              Litter clearance will be undertaken both during and following the event.

   

  15.              Notices will displayed asking people to leave quietly and respect local residents.

   

  16.              Entrance and exit will operate on a one way system to prevent congestion and ease traffic flow.

   

  17.              Proof of age cards are required from anyone attempting to purchase alcohol who appears to be underage.

   

  18.              Children’s fair area will be provided and controlled by a professional organization (R Fletcher).

   

  19.              All children must be accompanied by an adult.

   

  20.              A no swearing policy will be introduced for all bands / entertainers.
