CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. We will comply with all statutory health and safety legislation and requirements and licensing conditions and will liaise closely with all local agencies.
2. We will be looking to attract the full cross section of the community to the building and intend for it to contribute to reductions in crime and disorder through participation and activity by all local people.
3. The building will be secured via monitored alarm systems and CCTV and the site will be secured at night with local key holders available for call out.
4. The building and staff will comply with all current health and safety legislation.
5. A normal operating procedure (NOP) will be in place and additionally an emergency action plan (EAP) will be in place for arrangement for building evacuation including disabled persons.
6. The building operates a planned preventative maintenance schedule and has qualified contractors on hand for reactive issues.
7. Escape routes are checked as clear and in good repair at the opening of the venue, during the day and through key events. All doors comply with relevant guidelines including signage.
8. At the times the venue is required for an event activity, event customer numbers are known and recorded.
9. Fire action notices and emergency evacuation signage is on display.
10. Nominated persons are present with responsibility for the evacuation and contacting the fire brigade.
11. First aid equipment is available including a designated room and qualified person(s) responsible.
12. The emergency lighting is checked monthly and annually and recorded.
13. Sanitary facilities are provided and maintained.
14. Staffing levels as they apply to events will be appropriate to the number of performers and attendees.
15. Fire detection systems are tested weekly, quarterly and annually.
16. Fire extinguishers are tested weekly and annually.
17. The electrical installation is inspected annually.
18. The gas boilers are tested annually through a CORGI registered contractor.
19. Noise levels are controlled and doors remain closed unless during an emergency.
20. Dispersal techniques are employed at the end of the concerts and functions.
21. Refuse is collected through normal working hours.
22. No offensive smells are created on the premises.
23. Alarms are monitored and key holders local to the premises.
24. Where an entertainment activity contains an age restriction this will be complied with.
25. Backstage facilities are large enough to accommodate the relevant numbers of children taking part in a performance.
26. Chaperones are employed and are qualified to supervise children engaging in theatre led activities.
27. Alcohol will not be sold to persons under the age of 18.
28. Only suitably qualified persons will sell alcohol.
29. From July 2008 a personal licence holder will be on the premises when licensable activities are occurring.
30. A company child protection policy is in place.
