CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH OPERATING SCHEDULE
1. Allhallows Community Centre was established to provide a community facility for the benefit of local residents. The Management Committee takes its responsibilities very seriously and does not want the Centre to be responsible for causing any problems to the local community. The Committee meets approximately 10 times a year and regularly reviews activities and events as well as regularly re-assessing health and safety risks etc. all the relevant insurance policies are in place.
2. It is intended that licensable activities involving the sale/supply of alcohol will only take place under the supervision of the Centre Management Committee, at least one member of which will usually be present at such events. If it is not possible for a Committee member to attend, they will ensure that a responsible adult(s) is/are present.
3. Those hiring the Centre for licensable activities are provided with details of their responsibilities and these are also on display in the Centre.
4. The Centre Committee will not authorise any events where they feel there is a significant risk of crime and disorder.
5. All those hiring the Centre for licensable activities are provided with a notice outlining their responsibilities.
6. A responsible adult (usually a Committee member) is present at all licensable events who will be vigilant for signs of disorder and will take appropriate action.
7. Contact details for the local police are provided on the Centre’s notice board.
8. The Centre has a Health and Safety Policy, Fire Self-Assessment and Child Protection Policy.
9. The alarm system, fire equipment, electrical and gas installations are all checked by contractors on a regular basis.
10. The Centre Management Committee regularly reviews its policies and conducts risk assessments.
11. No activities will be allowed in the Centre which the Committee feels pose an unacceptable risk to public safety.
12. All those hiring the Centre for licensable activities are provided with a notice outlining their responsibilities and reminding them of the need to prevent public nuisance arising from their event.
13. The hirers are advised not to let members of the public congregate outside the building and that food/drink is not to be taken off the premises.
14. Noise levels are monitored informally.
15. Children are not allowed to use the Community Centre without supervision by a responsible adult.
16. The Centre Committee will do everything possible to ensure that no activities take place which pose any risk to children, whether or not they are attending the premises.
17. The Centre Management Committee has a child protection policy which is regularly reviewed.
