• EMBEDDED CONDITIONS - CLUB PREMISES CERTIFICATE

   

  Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.

   

  The permitted hours do not prohibit:

   

  (a)               during the first twenty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises;

  (b)               during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;

  (c)               during the first thirty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied for consumption as ancillary to the meals; or

  (d)              consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the licensed premises.

   

  Private Entertainment

   

  The provision of regulated entertainment, that is, the provision of dancing, music or any other entertainment of the like kind, is prohibited (unless it is a licensable activity included in this licence) with the exception of pre-booked private events limited to pre-invited guests only.

   

  Recorded Music

   

  Provision may be made for the public entertainment in the premises by the reproduction of wireless (including television) broadcasts (or of programmes included in any programme service [within the meaning of the Broadcasting Act 1990] other than a sound or television broadcasting service), or of public entertainment by way of music and singing only which is provided solely by the reproduction of recorded sound.

   

  Licensing Act 2003 Mandatory Conditions

   

  Mandatory condition where Door Supervisors are provided

   

  Any individual employed on the premises to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

  Mandatory Conditions for club premises with off sales

   

  (a)              The supply of alcohol for consumption off the club premises must be made at a time when the premises are open for the purposes of supplying alcohol, in accordance with the club premises certificate, to members of the club for consumption on the premises.

  (b)              Any alcohol supplied for consumption off the premises must be in a sealed container; and

  (c)              That any supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises must be made to a member of the club in person.

   

• CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH

   

  PS1 - Gas Testing

   

  Any gas boiler, calorifier or other gas appliances will be tested at least every 12 months by CORGI authorised workmen and subsequent satisfactory and valid inspection report to be available on site for inspection by an authorised officer of the authority.

   

  PS2 - Electrical Installation Testing

   

  The electrical installation shall be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent person.  A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an officer of the authority.

   

  PS5 - Licensee Safety Inspection

   

  Before the premises are opened for the purposes authorised by the licence an inspection shall be carried out by the licence holder to ensure that the premises are safe for use.

   

  PS6 - First Aid

   

  There shall be maintained on the premises at all times an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials for the use of customers.

   

  PPN23

  No refuse shall be disposed of from the premises into a receptacle where such disposal is likely to cause a disturbance to residents in the area of the premises at any time between 8.00 pm and 8.00 am on any day except Sunday when no such disposal shall take place before 10.00 am.

   

   

   

• CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  1.              The premises function as a venue for Masonic activities.

   

  2.              The Masonic movement endorses all the licensing objectives and members are required to abide by all aspects of the law.

   

  3.              Any member indulging in criminal activity would be expelled and it is most unlikely that any undesirable person would be proposed for membership.  If this were to happen the selection process would be a further barrier. 

   

  4.              Any use of the premises for a private function would only be available for an acceptable use by an acceptable person.

   

  5.              The Masonic movement is self regulating and any criminal activity or disorder would not be tolerated.  It just does not and has never occurred on the premises.

   

  6.              The safety of all users of the premises is of prime concern of the Club management committee and the Trustees of the building.

   

  7.              There is a current Electrical Safety certificate in place.

   

  8.              There is a long standing contract with “Gasforce” for the annual maintenance and Safety certification of the gas appliances on the premises.

   

  9.              The fire safety equipment is maintained on an annual basis by a suitably accredited company.

   

  10.              The Environmental Health Department of Allerdale Borough Council inspect and regulate the premises.

   

  11.              Members are mindful of the needs of residents in the neighbourhood and a notice is prominently displayed at the exit from the premises requesting that persons leaving ensure that they cause no disturbance to any residents in the area.

   

  12.              There are no children admitted to Masonic meetings.

   

  13.              If a private function were to be held there would be responsible adults present to ensure that any children present came to no harm.
